As a candidate, I expect you to have the following qualifications:
- Educational Background: A Master's degree (Bac +5) in aeronautical structures or mechanical engineering.
- Experience: At least 10 years of experience, with a minimum of 6 years in aircraft structure stress analysis or repair. You should have demonstrated expertise in complex structural repair and support, with a strong track record in high-pressure situations.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in aircraft structures (preferably ATR structures) and expertise in aircraft structural repair principles (both metallic and composite). You should possess in-depth knowledge of metallic and composite materials, familiarity with non-destructive testing methods, and knowledge of Leonardo / Airbus drawings is a plus.
- Language Skills: Proficiency in English (B2 level), with Italian being a plus.
- IT Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Office; familiarity with ATR IT tools (CRM, SAMONIT, GILDA) is advantageous.
- Soft Skills: You should be autonomous and rigorous with strong organizational skills, open-minded, and positive. A strong customer orientation is essential, with the ability to understand and anticipate customer needs, providing tailored solutions.
- Specific Constraints: The position requires participation in standby duties during evenings, nights, and weekends.

Responsibilities
As a Fleet Support Engineer, you will be responsible for the following:
- Carrying out the design of structural repairs for complex issues requiring prompt resolution, providing support for minor and major repairs required by clients on a longer-term basis.
- Investigating the existence of previous cases of damage and similar repairs to ensure consistent support.
- Developing generic repair procedures to effectively address recurring issues.
- Liaising with customers and internal stakeholders, employing communication skills to oversee the entire lifecycle of global critical queries, from initial receipt to full resolution, ensuring transparency, accuracy, and customer satisfaction throughout the process.
- Actively participating in Design Organization activities by preparing and releasing critical approval documents under Part21J delegation.
- Managing a portfolio of subcontractors, ensuring clear work specifications, expectations, and systematic monitoring of OTD/OQD.
- Taking part in on-site damage assessment missions to evaluate the structural integrity of in-service aircraft subjected to potentially severe damage scenarios (such as engine fires, hard landings, runway excursions, ground collisions).
- Providing on-site technical support for major repairs and/or replacements carried out by clients or by ATR Part 145 teams, as required.
