Requirements
Must:
- Masters degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field
- Minimum 8 years of experience in data architecture or similar data-focused roles
- Strong expertise in data warehouse design and data modeling
- Demonstrated deep expertise in ETL/ELT processes, and data pipeline development
- Hands-on experience with Airbyte, dbt labs, or comparable open-source data tools
- Strong SQL skills
- Previous experience working with container orchestration platforms such as Kubernetes and/or Red Hat OpenShift
- Experience with cloud data warehouse platforms
- Proven experience integrating data from multiple systems
- Experience with architecture modeling tools and methodologies (e.g. Sparx Enterprise Architect, ArchiMate, TOGAF)
- Strong understanding of data governance, GDPR, security, and compliance requirements
- Excellent analytical, documentation, and communication skills
- Advanced English (C1) communication skills (written and spoken)
Responsibilities
- Lead the end-to-end architectural design of a new Data Warehouse from concept to implementation
- Analyze business and technical requirements to propose optimal data architecture solutions
- Create and maintain data warehouse schemas and data models (conceptual, logical, and physical)
- Design, plan, and oversee proof of concept (PoC) to validate architectural decisions, technology choices, and data warehouse design approaches
- Integrate data from multiple source systems and design reliable data pipelines
- Ensure data quality, consistency, security, scalability, and performance
- Contribute to future-state data architecture and platform roadmaps
- Apply and promote industry best practices in data architecture and data platform design
- Act as a subject-matter expert and provide senior advisory support to stakeholders
- Collaborate closely with data engineers, analysts, and business teams throughout delivery
- Ensure alignment between architecture, implementation, and operations
- Document architecture decisions, data models, standards, and best practices
- Stay informed on emerging technologies and assess their applicability to the data strategy
