- Own the problem space, not just the backlog: Define and frame product problems with users, data, and insights — not assumptions - Use discovery techniques (interviews, journey mapping, assumption testing, etc.) to build roadmaps based on problems worth solving, not just business requests - Drive dual-track discovery and delivery by leading a product trio (PO, Engineering, Design) to continuously explore and deliver value - Define hypotheses and learning goals per sprint and run experiments to validate ideas before investing full engineering time - Shape the product with clarity by defining clear, measurable outcomes tied to user behavior and product value - Prioritize work based on evidence and impact, not urgency or pressure, and create outcome-oriented sprint goals - Build shared understanding using tools like story mapping, journey mapping, and collaborative design sessions - Engage and align stakeholders by working closely with business SMEs, leadership, compliance, tech, and design - Bring stakeholders into discovery, testing, and co-creation when possible - Use storytelling to align and rally people around problems and outcomes - Measure and learn by defining value metrics and tracking them post-release and learning from real user behavior - Use data to guide decisions, adapt direction, and fuel iteration
