Staff Software Engineer (Lyon)

- Serve as a technical leader and role model within the engineering organization - Shape technical direction for complex systems and ensure scalable, maintainable architectures - Lead initiatives that impact multiple teams and domains across the M&S Accelerator - Identify leverage points to unlock exponential productivity gains for the organization - Own technical decisions for critical projects, ensuring delivery on deadlines and quality standards - Anticipate challenges and proactively resolve bottlenecks - Work across teams to align execution with organizational strategy and priorities - Balance pragmatism with technical excellence to accelerate delivery - Design and build robust software solutions for research workflows and data analysis - Establish and enforce technical standards, patterns, and best practices across teams - Develop deep expertise in cloud-native systems, microservices, APIs, and security - Champion CI/CD, DevOps principles, and cloud infrastructure as code - Mentor senior engineers, enabling them to take on greater ownership and leadership - Promote a culture of engineering excellence, knowledge sharing, and innovation - Encourage open dialogue where team members feel safe to share ideas and learn from mistakes - Act as a bridge across engineering, product, and scientific teams to ensure alignment and results - Advocate for best engineering practices and drive adoption across domains - Collaborate with peers and leaders to shape technical strategy for the Accelerator - Represent engineering in discussions with external partners and vendors
